Welcome to Your Literature Disussion Site
Welcome to Ms. Tilley's English III blogspot. You are the inaugural class to use this blog. I hope it will provide a forum for you to discuss literature, not just with me, but with your classmates - any time of day or night. Your responsibility will be to make a post, that involves higher level thinking skills, at least five times per unit. Each post will be worth twenty points. All five post will be assessed as one 100-point test. Deadlines for final posting and "higher level thinking skills" will be further discussed during units and/or class.

ReplyDeleteI liked reading "The World on the Turtle's Back" better than the Mayan Myth because the story was more detailed and desriptive.
ReplyDeleteI liked better the story of "The World On the Turtle's Back" because it had more conflict and suspense.
ReplyDeletei liked "the world on the turtles back" because it has good imagery
ReplyDeleteI liked the "Mayan Creation" video better than the "The World on The Turtle's Back" because it gave a better explanation and it showed all of the details.
ReplyDeleteI liked the Mayan Creation myth better because it gave me visual image of what was going on in the story and it explained it better.
ReplyDeletei loved reading the story "The World on the Turle's back" beacuse i rather read and make the images in my head rather then see something someone else made up!
ReplyDeleteI preffered viewing the "Mayan Myth" because the the information they gave was closer to the belife that i have on how the world was created. If I were to make a change in either one i would have left out the part that they mention where the animals tried to praise the gods and they other type of human races taht had came before
ReplyDeleteI prefered the "Mayan Creation Myth" more than "The World on The Turtle's Back" because you can better understand the "Mayan Myth" in full detail because of its visual, and audity.
ReplyDeleteI liked the "Mayan Myth" better because it gave us a visual of how the Gods actually looked and how they reacted. Both stories did create awe for me. In "The World On The Turtle's Back" the part that created awe for me was when the good son killed both his grandmother and his brother. That was not very nice. In the "Mayan Myth" the part that created awe for me was when the Gods started creatin men in different ways.
ReplyDeleteI like the "The World on the Turtle's Back" better than "Mayan Myth" story because it's more discriptive and gave me a better understanding of how the creators were created themselves. If I were to make changes in either stories, it would have to be in "The World on the Turtle's Back" on the pregnancy of the daughter because you cannot get empregenated with an arrow.
